Having always loved flowers and working outside, I chose to pursue this hobby after retirement by participating in the Master Gardeners program offered through our County Extension Office. That has proven a good choice. I've learned a lot about horticulture and have met some really dedicated people with interests similar to mine. Our chapter volunteers to maintain five sanctioned project gardens locally. In addition, I've enjoyed expanding my own gardens and having time to work in them and to photograph some of the flowers that I enjoy. Because the MG organization requires 20 hours per year of continuing education, I also try to visit public gardens in order to foster my knowledge and appreciation of horticulture and "garden art." I hope you enjoy some of these flower and garden images as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
